These celebrities escaped death and have good pilots, well built planes, and a bit of luck to thank for it. Last Thursday a vintage World War II plane flown by Harrison Ford struck the top of a tree and crashed in a golf course. Ford is expected to make a full recovery. At other times, people are not so lucky. The theories about what happened to that Malaysian flight 370 are plentiful. Some people think that there was an explosion, the radar tracking system was turned off, it flew under cover of another plane, hijackers took over the plane, or somebody hid the plane on a remote airstrip for mysterious purposes. Let’s all be glad and thank our lucky stars together.
Harrison Ford reported engine problems in his World War II-era Ryan Aeronautical ST3KR plane and requested a return to Santa Monica Municipal Airport last week. He crash-landed on Penmar Golf Course in Venice about 800 feet southwest of a runway, according to HuffPost. A doctor named Sanjay Khurana said the plane dropped like a rock and it felt like an earthquake. Ford’s son, Ben Ford, released a statement that Ford would be okay.
